October 2007 marks the beginning of the Newfoundland Insectarium's 10th year of operation. Special events and activities are planned throughout the year, beginning with the anniversary tour of our traveling exhibit. We will be visiting various schools in Newfoundland as well as Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick from October 22 to December 7, 2007 and from January 21 to February 29, 2008.
In March of 2008, we will be at the Greenhouse in Bowring Park, St. John's for our 'Butterflies at Bowring Park' exhibit. This will be our second year at the park and we will have double the number of butterfly species this year for a total of over 50 species on display. Don't miss it! The exhibit will be open to the public from March 8 to May 11, 2008 and available for school visits from April 21 to April 27, 2008.
Look for prize giveaways and special events throughout the summer of 2008 as we celebrate 10 years of being the most popular insect exhibit in Eastern Canada!
