The Newfoundland Insectarium opened for its 10th anniversary year on May 17 and will remain open until October 12. Throughout the summer, we will be celebrating our 10th year with prize draws, special events, and exciting new exhibits.
The Insectarium has been recognized as one of the best attractions in Eastern Canada. It features hundreds of live tropical butterflies in the indoor garden, thousands of honeybees in the observation hive and over one hundred other live and static displays. There is sure to be something for everyone in the family.
After your tour, you can browse the unique gift shop that specializes in everything related to bugs and butterflies. You can also enjoy and ice cream in our snack shop.
Outdoor enthusiasts might want to take a walk on our beautiful trail system where you can see ducks, geese, beavers, and many songbirds.
